Community Based Physical Education

Our Physical Education program is a specially designed program specifically targeted at individuals with special needs.  We provide activity options for our career and transitioning students on and off campus.

Our goal is to teach and engage students in a variety of physical activities to transition from school environment into the community environment.  These activities include, but are not limited to:  cardio and strength training, team and individual sports activities, athletic sports, cheerleading, and bicycle riding.  Our curriculum also offers swimming, track, and an after-school track team off campus at Cleveland High School.

Our program develops physical fitness life skills for our career and transitioning students to use for the rest of their lives, interacting in physical fitness opportunities with their families and the community.

In our near future, our program will evolve to include: hiking community trails, biking, snorkeling, bowling, and other various sports activities at local parks and YMCA's.

Our mission and vision is to provide training and experience in physical activities for our adult students with families and age appropriate peers in the community.
