About our Staff

About the Teacher: My name is Amanda Phillips and I am the teacher of the CATS program. We are apart of Miller CTC, but are off site at L.A. Mission College.  You can learn more about our program by looking at our work programs link (CATS).  I received my teaching credential and Masters of Arts in Special Education: Moderate to Severe from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). I’ve been teaching for seven years and have been working with people with special needs my whole life.  My goal for all of my students is to become as independent as possible and to help them reach their goals.

About the Staff: Our CATS program at L.A. Mission College has two wonderful special education assists.  Ms. Olivia Alonzo has been with our program from the very beginning and an assistant with LAUSD for 22 years. Ms. Lucy Huynh has been with our program and Miller for 6 years and an assistant for LAUSD for 9 years.
