Made with Love Textiles Work Program
In this work program interns: weave, machine & hand sew and use basic jewelry making techniques to make a wide variety of items. Students learn to work with a variety of tools and fabric and other textile materials to produce unique items. Interns learn to use a:
- Knitting Loom, Lap Loom, Rigid Heddle Loom & Circular Loom
- Floor Loom & Knitting Machine
- Basis Sewing Machine, Serge and Cover Stitch Machine
- Crochet hook and other Textiles tools
Through creating woven/knit pieces and transforming them into functional products, students gain practical skills in linear measurement, handling tools responsibly, using materials economically, and teamwork. Cordmaking, knitting, crochet, macrame, embroidery, variety of jewelry making technique.
